Donations in Memory of Leisa Bates

It is with great sorrow that ARPH Texas announces the death of one of its avid volunteers.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to ARPH in Leisa’s memory.

Leisa officially began fostering, along with her husband Gene, in May 2012.  In the last 11 ½ years, it has been rare for them to be without a foster dog (or 2) in their home.  Transports, evaluations, home visits, and helping out at ARPH events were all activities she participated in.  More than 30 dogs received love and care in the Bates home and went on to their “happily ever after” in adoptive homes.

Leisa’s friendship, hard work, kindness, and cheerful personality will be sorely missed by the ARPH Texas volunteers and adopters.
